High-performance packaging-specific tape, Scotch® Bi-Directional Filament Tape 8959 combines a cross-laid glass fibre-reinforced polypropylene backing with a synthetic rubber-resin adhesive. Our heavy-duty tape is specially designed for strong adhesion to a wide range of surfaces, such as: B. metal, plastic and hard fibre. A multi-layer system of synthetic rubber adhesive protects against detachment and shear forces. Scotch 8959 Bi-Directional Filament Tape is ideal for high-strength carton reinforcement, shipping sealing and packaging, butt-joining and palletising. Engineered for strength, Scotch Bi-Directional Filament Tape 8959 is reinforced with longitudinal and transverse continuous glass fibres on a biaxially oriented polypropylene substrate. A multi-layer system of synthetic rubber adhesive protects the glass fibres from detaching from the carrier material. Brands, barcodes and other graphics can be read through the translucent tape. Fibreglass palletising tapes are used in many applications where strength is important. It is ideal for securing cargo and sealing packages for shipping and transportation.
