What is the difference between Type 1 and Type 2R surgical masks?
Type 1 masks are typically 3ply, made from 3 layers of fabric to protect the mouth and nose and rectangle in shape rather than specially shaped to the face.  The Type 1 masks have ASTM certification.

The Type IIR masks have ASTM certification and are suitable to sell to the NHS and recommended by World Health Organisation to sell into healthcare with the R specifying they are fluid resistant to offer increased protection compared to a standard mask as they block potentially-infected droplets from entering the respiratory system.

We have engaged Intertek, the international factory inspection agency to conduct regular factory inspections. 

Material Specification of 3 Ply

The first ply is 25gsm non woven.
The second ply is 25gsm of melt blown.
The third ply is 25gsm non woven.

The bacterial filtration efficiency is ≥ 95%.

The products are tested to: EN 14683:2019.

Packaging

Sealed polythene/cardboard carton.

We hold a rolling stock of 500,000+ which we can ship within 48 hours. For orders over our current UK stock levels, the lead time is 7-12 days depending on the air freight situation. Our factory currently has spare capacity of 300,000 units a day. However, the situation is constantly changing. Increased demand is likely over the next few weeks.
